Faith in the Future: A SciFi Book Club

$25.00

Faith in the Future is a nine-month virtual book club for pastors and ministry leaders who are curious about how science fiction can open up space for imagination, reflection, and honest conversation. We’ll read classic and contemporary sci-fi together and talk about big questions—faith, ethics, community, hope, and what the future might hold for the Church and the world. This is a relational, discussion-based experience meant to be thoughtful and enjoyable, not academic or performance-driven. If you like reading, wondering out loud, and connecting with other ministers in a low-pressure space, this group is for you.

This group will be led by Dr. Joshua Ziefle, sci-fi fan and Dean of the College of Ministry at Northwest University.

Registration does not include books. The 10-book reading schedule and suggested purchase links will be e-mailed after your registration has been received.

Time Commitment:
– Nine monthly Zoom gatherings (90 minutes each)
– Reading approximately one book per month
– Willingness to participate in small-group discussion

While we understand that ministry schedules are unpredictable, this experience works best when participants plan to attend most sessions. Typical schedule is the last Monday of each month, with a few adjustments.
